Xiaolei Zhou, PhD, is a Senior Director of Biostatistics at RTI-HS. She has over 20 years of experience working on health-related studies and has led statistical analysis for a wide range of studies, including analysis of pooled data from multiple clinical trials, and observational studies, treatment effectiveness and safety analysis using real world data, longitudinal epidemiology studies (e.g., registries), and health-related surveys. Her recent work includes extensive analysis (per protocol and post hoc) on patient-reported quality of life data and adverse event data from clinical trials, exploratory research-driven data analyses using various data sources, and analysis using real-world data in electronic medical records and medical claim databases. The related therapeutic areas include but are not limited to oncology and hematology (breast, colorectal, gastric, and kidney cancer; follicular lymphoma; and myelofibrosis), chronic hepatitis C, chronic kidney disease, chronic pain, respiratory, smoking cessation, obesity, dermatology, opthalmology, and women's health.
Dr. Zhou has been responsible for statistical review or writing of protocols, authoring statistical analysis plans, performing or overseeing statistical programming and validation, and developing statistical reports, abstracts, and manuscripts. She managed databases for several large, multinational, Web-based longitudinal studies and led analyses of medical database studies. Her statistical expertise includes analysis of patient-reported outcomes and real-world data, prevalence and incidence estimation, development of predictive models using observational or clinical trial data, longitudinal data analysis, analysis involving missing data (including random effect pattern-mixture models), survival analysis, prevalence and incidence estimation, sample size calculations, and programming in SAS. Dr. Zhou has coauthored numerous scientific presentations and manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
