Stephanie Earnshaw, PhDCongratulations to Dr. Stephanie Earnshaw, PhD, Senior Vice President, Health Economics at RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) on being named a North Carolina State University (NCSU) Distinguished Alumnus, Class of 2022. The award is given to those who deserve special recognition for notable contributions to their profession, community, and North Carolina State University’s Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE).

Dr. Earnshaw studied industrial engineering/operations research at NCSU and uses her training in decision-analysis techniques to support the pharmaceutical and healthcare technology industries. She was presented with the award by Dr. Julie Swann, Head of Industrial Systems and Engineering at NCSU, who lauded her many accomplishments during her 23 years at RTI-HS. Dr. Swann specifically mentioned the recent research on blood platelet processing that Dr. Earnshaw coauthored.

During her acceptance speech, Dr. Earnshaw shared these thoughts. “I worked with amazing teachers (at NCSU). They taught me to be brave, ask questions. They taught me to apply concepts to real-world problems.”

“I'm fortunate to work with RTI Health Solutions to support pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech companies … The great thing about RTI-HS is they push the limits of research – they encourage new ideas that encourage innovation, publication, and presentation.”

"This is a tremendous award, and I'm completely honored.”
